Reading A Line Graph in English

Interpretation:


The line chart above shows the development of action research result in terms of vocabulary and pronunciation in English language learning. There are two lines in the chart concerning with pronunciation aspect on the top and it gets a vocabulary line at the bottom. Both of them have five cycles. Both percentage of pronunciation and vocabulary begin from low and end up in high.
. Firstly, let us begin with the first line which is related to pronunciation aspect. The increase of the development result is significantly steady from the first cycle to the fifth cycle. Starting from point 21.9 at the first cycle, the development of the result increases rapidly until it reaches point 58.4 at the second cycle. It continues to improve constantly to 65.7 at the third cycle. Furthermore, there is a sharp rise in the development result of pronunciation aspect in cycle 4, the point breaks 73 and the result increases by an additional 21.9 point to reach a peak at 94.9 at the fifth cycle.
Comparing to the first line, however the second line which is to do with vocabulary aspect shows that the result of the development does not increase constantly as the first line. The result of the development on vocabulary aspect begins from the point 20 at the first cycle, followed by the slight increase at the second cycle which reaches point as many as 21.9. Then, it continues to rise until the point reaches 29.2.  In the cycle 4, there is a significant improvement of the result to 70.  At the end of the cycle, it improves dramatically and the result shows its end point of 75.
In conclusion, there has been an improvement in the development of Action Research Result on vocabulary and pronunciation aspects. However, the development of pronunciation aspect has more improved significantly than the development of vocabulary aspect. Therefore, it is necessary to find out that such a method can improve the result of the vocabulary development.
